How a Heat Pump Saves Kokomo Homeowners Money

A heat pump moves heat instead of creating it. In heating mode it pulls warmth from outdoor air and brings it inside. In cooling mode it reverses the process. That design uses less energy than electric resistance heat. A properly sized, well-maintained system keeps utility costs down in both seasons.

Kokomo Heat Pump Questions

Does a heat pump work in a Kokomo winter? Yes, especially cold-climate models. A dual-fuel setup adds a furnace for the deepest cold.

What is auxiliary heat? It is backup electric heat inside the air handler. It should run only in very cold weather or during defrost.
